Storytelling Week

We have had a fantastic time celebrating Storytelling Week across the school. Each class have learned a different story and we were very excited to share our stories and learning in Collective Worship! We all worked through the storytelling process- listening to the story, mapping the story, coming up with actions, stepping the story out, telling the story to a partner and innovating the story.

We played games to help us to warm up for storytelling and to help us to practise elements of it.

Class 4 decided that storytelling is fantastic because it helps us to: learn new words, go on adventures, work with friends, become better writers, improve our drama skills and have fun !

We used our stories to inspire our learning across the curriculum, in our art lessons, our music lessons, our maths and our writing. Have a look at the pictures to see what we have been up to!
