Roald Dahl Day 2019

We have had a great time today, learning about the life and works of Roald Dalh! September is Roald Dahl’s birth month and if Roald Dahl were alive today, he’d be 102 this year. That’s a ripe old age, much older than Grandpa Joe, who was only ninety-six and a half! The very first Roald Dahl day took place on what would have been Roald’s ninetieth birthday in 2006. Celebrations took place all over the world, with the day being recognised with fun-filled events in the UK, USA and Holland. Twelve years later, and many more people are recognising this special day, including Ilmington School #believeinmagic
