Class 4's Visit from an archaeologist

Wow. What an incredible day we have had! Today, Dr Diane Davies (an archaeologist specialising in the Maya) visited Class 4. We spent the morning with her, exploring the world of the Maya. We learned about what it is like to be an archaeologist and some of us have been inspired to follow Dr Davies into this career (despite the photographs of the camp that Dr Davies has shown to us!) We have been handling real Maya artefacts, studying Maya hieroglyphs and making our own Maya calendars.
